FlyFreely Expands into North American Market with FAA LAANC Approval

FlyFreely, a prominent drone management platform, has received acceptance as a Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) provider from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This milestone enables FlyFreely to issue authorizations that aid in integrating unmanned aircraft into specific controlled airspaces.

With its recent expansion, FlyFreely now connects with three national Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) systems, including CASA RPAS Platform in Australia, Airshare in New Zealand, and now LAANC in the United States.

Dr. David Cole, co-founder and CEO, expressed enthusiasm over the achievement, stating, “We’ve been growing rapidly since 2019 and have established ourselves as the most trusted drone management platform in Australia. After successfully entering the New Zealand market in 2022, moving into the US was the next logical step for us. We’re excited about this opportunity.”

The entry into the US market allows FlyFreely’s clients, especially large multinational companies, to optimize their drone operations across borders. Dr. Cole noted, “This is a game-changer for customers who operate in Australia, New Zealand, and the US. It ensures they can seamlessly function through one platform.” As part of its US services, FlyFreely is also enhancing its platform to support operations in Canada and Mexico, further increasing its value proposition for North American customers.

“If you manage drone operations across multiple North American countries and encounter challenges, FlyFreely is uniquely equipped with our innovative multi-jurisdiction management system to assist you,” added Dr. Cole. Additionally, US drone operators benefit from FlyFreely’s extensive experience managing complex operations in Australia and New Zealand, making it an optimal solution for those with Part 107 Waivers. These waiver holders face distinct challenges and need to maintain rigorous compliance.

The FlyFreely Platform offers a broad range of tools to ensure adherence to the conditions of the waiver while streamlining regular Part 107 operations. The platform features an advanced authority and workflow system, enabling simultaneous management of multiple waivers. Unique capabilities also allow for waiver sharing between organizations, ideal for temporary use during the approval process or while gaining operational experience before acquiring a personal waiver.

With a strong background in drone operations, FlyFreely has constructed its platform to fully support commercial UAS activities, compliance, and fleet management. This includes a versatile offline mobile app for mission planning and execution, compatible with Smart Controllers for automatic flight log retrieval. Furthermore, FlyFreely supports cloud-based flight log syncing for leading systems like DJI, Skydio, and DroneDeploy.
