ANRA Technologies to Enhance Finland’s U-Space with Advanced UTM Solutions

ANRA Technologies, a prominent name in uncrewed systems traffic management (UTM) and mission management solutions, is excited to announce that it has successfully secured a contract to provide state-of-the-art U-space services for VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland. This contract represents a significant achievement for ANRA, as it aims to broaden its influence within the European drone sector while promoting safe and coordinated drone operations.

As part of the agreement, ANRA will roll out its next-generation UTM platform, known as ANRA Noon. This technology will facilitate secure, efficient, and scalable drone operations across a range of applications, including research, commercial ventures, and public safety initiatives. The platform will ensure mandatory U-space services encompassing flight authorization, geo-awareness, network ID, and traffic data throughout Finland. ANRA Noon will equip VTT with essential real-time airspace intelligence, flight planning capabilities, and tools to meet regulatory requirements, thus ensuring the smooth integration of unmanned aircraft into Finland’s airspace.

“We are privileged to have been selected by VTT for this key initiative,” stated Amit Ganjoo, Founder and CEO of ANRA Technologies. “With ANRA Noon, we aim to meet the distinct needs of diverse drone operations, and we are eager to assist VTT in their mission to explore and implement forward-thinking drone solutions.”

VTT Technical Research Centre is widely recognized for its role in fostering innovations across various industries, particularly in the drone domain. This partnership with ANRA Technologies will bolster Finland’s standing as a pioneer in safe, responsible, and innovative drone deployments. Moreover, the project aligns with broader European U-space objectives that focus on harmonized air traffic management for unmanned aerial systems.

“We at VTT anticipate productive collaboration with ANRA Technologies as we put this UTM system into practice for our research efforts. This is a vital step in our goal of paving the way towards secure, safe, and scalable drone operation businesses,” commented Dr. Petri Mononen, Research Team Leader for VTT Innovative Air Mobility.

The timing of this initiative is particularly advantageous, as ANRA is in the process of obtaining certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to become the first U-space Service Provider (USSP). Both projects are designed to facilitate cooperative learning, ensuring that ANRA Noon remains a leader in the UTM service landscape.
