CANNON FALLS, Minn. – Gemstar Protective Hard Cases in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, has unveiled its latest product, the GemShield RF EMI-shielded case, designed specifically for the safe transport of sensitive electronics. This innovative solution aims to maintain data integrity in fields such as military, aerospace, and healthcare.
The RoboRack half-rack cases by Gemstar provide an option to incorporate the GemShield RF EMI shielding liner, developed in collaboration with V Technical Textiles Inc. from Palmyra, New York. These cases offer essential protection against electromagnetic interference, which can be emitted by high-powered electric sources including mobile networks and radio equipment.
When fully sealed, the GemShield RF EMI shielding liner can effectively attenuate electromagnetic waves by as much as 85 decibels across a frequency range of 30 MHz to 18 GHz. The liner has undergone rigorous testing in accordance with IEEE 299 and MIL-STD-285 standards, and Berry Compliant options are also available. Importantly, the GemShield RF EMI shielding liner can be customized to fit any of Gemstar’s cases.
Relatedly, RoboRack half-rack cases are constructed to safeguard electronics from shock, vibration, moisture, dust, and other potential contaminants. These resilient hard cases can be used as pre-configured units or tailored to meet specific needs for various equipment.
Complying with MIL-STD 810G and Military Long-Life Reusable Case (LLRC) standards, RoboRack half-rack cases can be customized in terms of size, load capacity, and g-rating.
