Building upon the engineering foundation established by the PRS-M3DT, AVSS is rapidly preparing to launch this compliant parachute recovery and flight termination system, aiming for availability through authorized resellers by Q2 2025.
Understanding the PRS-M4DT
The PRS-M4DT is an integrated Parachute Recovery System that allows enterprise drone operators to meet crucial regulatory compliance standards. It enables legal flights over people while adhering to multiple aviation regulations, including:
- Federal Aviation Administration’s Operations Over People for Category drones
- Transport Canada’s guidelines for flying over people
- EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) MOC 2512
- Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations
- General JARUS M2 requirements for SORA compliance
Additional Systems Offered
PRS-M4DTEX: This version combines the Parachute Recovery System with a Flight Termination System (FTS), designed specifically for EASA compliance under MOC 2511 and MOC 2512. It features an independent FTS to terminate flight when a geofence breach occurs, addressing the C5 and C6 designations in Europe.
FTS-M4DTEX: An FTS version fulfilling EASA’s MOC 2511 standards, the FTS-M4DTEX is a lightweight, non-parachute solution created to minimize airspace risks, ensuring compliance with C6 and/or Enhanced Containment requirements.
