Teledyne FLIR OEM and AerialOGI Join Forces for Advanced Gas Emissions Detection
May 14, 2025 – Teledyne FLIR OEM has announced a strategic collaboration with AerialOGI to unveil a groundbreaking platform targeting gas emissions detection. The AerialOGI-N platform is highlighted as the first optical gas imaging (OGI) camera module that provides a seamless two-click connection to both drone-mounted and handheld gimbals, designed to help inspectors quickly identify harmful gas leaks.
Eric Olsen, co-founder and partner at AerialOGI, emphasized the significance of this launch in the realm of volatile organic compound (VOC) detection technologies. He stated, “The introduction of AerialOGI-N represents a pivotal advancement in the technology for detecting and quantifying VOCs, enhancing inspection efficiency while driving down costs and emissions. The integration of our AerialOGI Reporting Tool with this flexible OGI module will empower gas inspection teams like never before.”
The AerialOGI-N platform utilizes the Neutrino® LC OGI midwave infrared (MWIR) camera core, boasting a resolution of 640×512. This impressive technology allows for real-time detection and quantification of over 25 greenhouse gases, including methane and other VOCs. The platform is compatible with seven industrial drone airframes, notably including the Arcsky X55, which complies with National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) requirements and offers an extraordinary flight duration of up to 45 minutes in battery mode or 120 minutes in hybrid mode.
