ideaForge Launches NETRA 5 UAV for Defense and Security Use
On February 7, 2025, ideaForge Technology Limited announced the launch of the NETRA 5, a state-of-the-art unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) specifically engineered for defense and security operations. This innovative drone is designed to meet the demands of complex missions with exceptional adaptability, advanced intelligence, and robust durability.
AI-Driven Features and Modular Configuration
The NETRA 5 features ideaForge’s proprietary onboard computing system, facilitating AI-enhanced mission workflows. This capability allows the UAV to detect military installations, such as bunkers, tanks, and bridges, and track moving objects or individuals in real time, regardless of lighting conditions.
Its modular build includes a primary payload equipped with dual electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors, along with a secondary payload bay compatible with an open communication protocol. Engineered for Extreme Conditions
Designed to operate in daunting environments, the NETRA 5 is outfitted with all-weather radar sensors to facilitate obstacle detection and avoidance. This ensures successful navigation in complicated terrains. Additionally, its frequency-hopping technology provides enhanced resistance against jamming, and the UAV’s GNSS-denied operation supports uninterrupted intelligence gathering.
Weighing in at under 8 kg, the lightweight NETRA 5 can be deployed within a three-minute timeframe and is built to endure up to 5,000 landings across a wide range of temperatures and challenging settings.
The UAV also integrates a dedicated secondary payload bay with standardized mounts, offering potential for future expansions and versatile applications.
