European Parliament Conducts Fact-Finding Mission at Quantum Systems Ukraine
During a recent high-profile visit to Quantum Systems Ukraine, representatives from the European Parliament expressed their admiration for the drone manufacturer’s expansion in the country, recognizing its contributions as a model for defense firms across the European Union.
The delegation was comprised of notable Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) including Pina Picierno (S&D, Vice President of the European Parliament), Thomas Carlin (S&D, France), Tobias Cremer (S&D, Germany), Raphael Glucksmann (S&D, France), and Rainer van Lanschot (Greens, Netherlands). Their visit occurred just one day after the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
At the facility, Olexandr Berezhny, Managing Director of Quantum Systems Ukraine, updated the delegation on the impressive growth his company has experienced since the invasion. Originally a small team of engineers, the company has expanded into a multi-facility operation with over 100 local employees and is actively working to double its production capacity.
Amid concerns over a potential decline in support from key NATO allies, the MEPs reiterated their commitment to utilizing frozen Russian assets to finance the swift increase of local production capabilities in Ukraine and across the European Union.
Tobias Cremer remarked, “Given the current political climate, especially with Trump’s recent gestures towards Putin, it is crucial that the EU remains resolute in its support for Ukraine. Our defense industries must collaborate more than ever. Quantum Systems embodies this cooperation as a Euro-Ukrainian enterprise, setting an example of how the defense sector can aid Ukraine while enhancing Europe’s own security in a dynamic geopolitical environment.”
Olexandr Berezhny stated, “Three years of warfare equate to three years of continuous effort. Quantum Systems Ukraine has made tremendous progress despite challenging circumstances, and we are honored that the European Union acknowledges our work through this visit.”
Conclusion
The meeting highlights the significant role of drone technology in modern defense initiatives and underscores the importance of international cooperation in bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
