DJI Matrice 400A Receives Approval from the FCC
On March 7, 2025, the DJI Matrice 400A, an upcoming enterprise drone from the renowned manufacturer, has made its debut in the FCC database, signaling that its release may be imminent.
This development follows closely on the heels of news regarding the Matrice 400 RC’s sub-2G SDR module, which was also entered into the FCC records. Moreover, only recently, an image of the M400A appeared online, showing it in a folded position with an undisclosed payload attached.
Details from the FCC Submission
The data provided to the FCC includes an image of the regulatory label, verifying that this model is indeed the A variant of the Matrice 400. Additionally, it will be equipped with a solid battery capacity of 977Wh, which we first noted in earlier leaks from January.
The label display suggests the drone is constructed from finely machined metal, hinting that it houses a battery bay, though specifics from this image remain limited.
Anticipated Release of the Matrice 400A
Historically, DJI products hitting the FCC database typically precede a launch within a two-month timeframe. This situation suggests the M400A might be available as early as April 2025.
The timeframe aligns with the prior SDR module listings, indicating that DJI is preparing for international testing before unveiling this highly awaited enterprise drone.
