Anduril Chosen as Mission Autonomy Systems Integration Partner by Special Operations Command

Special Operations Command Partners with Anduril for Mission Autonomy Systems

March 26, 2025 – The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has entered into a substantial three-year agreement with Anduril, worth $86 million, aimed at enhancing the development and deployment of mission autonomy software across multi-domain uncrewed systems to support various USSOCOM missions.

Anduril mission autonomy software for USSOCOM

The crux of the initiative is to ensure that operators can effectively command diverse teams of autonomous systems across different domains, enabling them to collaboratively execute complex missions. This endeavor necessitates the development of mission autonomy software that can integrate the control systems, sensors, weaponry, and payloads of multiple vehicles, thus aligning their responsiveness on the battlefield.

Anduril’s Lattice system serves as a comprehensive software platform which facilitates seamless interaction between human operators and autonomous systems. As the Mission Autonomy Systems Integration Partner (SIP), Anduril will play a crucial role in assisting USSOCOM in refining their operational infrastructure, allowing for the integration, validation, and deployment of both government and commercial mission autonomy technologies across its robotic frameworks. This effort encompasses the entire software development life cycle, with an emphasis on data management, model validation, and system-level verification, ultimately establishing a solid groundwork for integrating autonomous teams into SOCOM operations.

In addition to laying down the developmental infrastructure, Anduril plans to demonstrate the capabilities of this software through various capability demonstrations and integration events over the next few months, paving the way for operational deployment. By leveraging Lattice, Anduril aims to enhance the integration and implementation of superior software and hardware functionalities, promoting a transformative approach to SOCOM operations that prioritizes collaborative mission autonomy and coordinated large-scale effects.

Since 2022, Anduril has contributed significantly to USSOCOM’s uncrewed systems efforts, integrating and deploying an array of hardware and software capabilities from Anduril, third-party sources, and government inventories to equip operators to navigate evolving threats in diverse contexts. As the Mission Autonomy SIP, Anduril is set to bolster this relationship by providing the infrastructure essential to expedite USSOCOM’s capability to field and engage teams of uncrewed systems in dynamic combat scenarios, fostering novel operational concepts that enhance effectiveness, capability, and situational awareness of special operations forces globally.
